開創不規則霍奇理論研究 持續突破並探索應用

have focused on the developments of the irregular Hodge theory in the past decade. Irregular Hodge theory, being a generalization of the classical Hodge theory, lies in the crossroad of frontier research in algebraic geometry, singularity theory, algebraic differential equations, theoretical physics and arithme tic.

In a series of joint work with Hélène Esnault, Javier Fresán and mainly Claude Sabbah, we built the foundations of the theory, starting with the search of the correct definition and establishing basic properties, obtained theoretic structures and formalisms in the general settings, provided some of the first interesting and important examples and explored its applications in arithmetic. We believe that the new theory and its potential connections to other topics would open many possible r esearch directions in the ne ar future.

得獎感言

I thank my collaborators heartily; without them the results would not be as rich and fruitful, and the journey of the research would not be as delightful and fascinating. The joint projects all started during the on-leave visit in Essen in the year 2011-12 via the MoST ( NSC at that time ) short -term visit pr ogram.

I thank Hélène Esnault to make the visit possible and enjoyable. Since then, Claude Sabbah and I have been working together ver y closely on the projects and constantly visited each other in Paris and Taipei. I learnt much from him who often turned simple obser vations and calculations into vast generalities. It is a great pleasure to become a friend of his.

I thank my colleagues and f amily for constant support and enc ouragement.
