Number of EI Citations per Million Persons This indicator is calculated by dividing the average number of papers cited in EI over the most recent five years by the average population during the same five-year period. Among the countries compared here, Singapore's citation rate was the highest during the most recent five years. Taiwan had an EI citation output of 844 papers per million people in 2015, and its EI citations per million persons has been in the range of 844-1,045 during the most recent five years. Although Taiwan was behind only Singapore and Finland in this category, the average growth rate of Taiwan's EI citations per million persons during this five-year period was the lowest of any of the countries included in this comparison.
